MAYA Embroidery Machine Maintenance and solutions


1. Maintaining:
Embroidery machines are a kind of high-speed running machines, and in most of the factories, they are running 24 hours per day and 7 days per week, in this case, the daily maintenance to the machines is vital to keep the machines work continuously with efficiency under its good performance. To be specific, regular cleaning with soft brush and frequently adding lube (little amount each time) are necessary. Timely and regular services to the machine are a guaranty to endure the life of the machine.

2. Checking:
Because the machine works with high speed, the moving part and relevant screws is possibly becoming loose. Generally, the sound it produces can be the signal of its status. The following should be noticed:
A. Tell whether it works well by its noise
B. Check its movements
C. Check its smell
D. Check the power regularly
E. Make sure the panel is clear
F. Make sure the lube is added

Machine fault solutions:
Thread broken cannot be found or wrongly found
Reasons
Solutions
1. Cross-stitching sprays are in loose contact with copper poles.
Adjust the position of the spray as follows: firstly, rotate central screws anticlockwise to separate the cross-cutting sprays and the copper pole, then clockwise rotate the screw till the spray and the pole are closely connected
2. Embroidery thread is out of the track
Adjust the track
3. The thread is too tight or too loose.
Adjust the three wheels to make the cross-stitching pole touches the cooper pole when cross-stitching, otherwise leaves the pole
4. A fault in the disconnection ¨Ctesting board
Refer to book of direction

Designs are out of shape
Troubles
Solutions
1. Embroidery frame is too heavy
Reduce the weight
2. The dentiformed belt is too tight or too loose.
Adjust the tension of it
3. Fraction in the track is too strong, maybe with unknown objects
Clean and add lubricant oil to it
4. Connection between the transmission shaft and the belt becomes loose
Check the stopping screw and fixing boltand tighten them
5. The driving bearing breaks down
Replace the bearing
6. The fraction between the embroidery frame and the board is too strong
Check whether embroidery frame is out of shape, the screw of the frame is too loose or not, and the screw of the embroidery aid frame is too long
7. Embroidery frame is too loose or too tight
Check the bearing of embroidery frame
8. Connection between the pulse motor and the connecting cover is loose, so is the bolt
Fasten them
9. Embroidered material is too loose
Add slip sheets, and retighten them
10. Data is changed because of outside interruption

Faults in color-changing system (not the right color or no color change)

1. Wrong parking position Adjust to the main shaft to 100 degree
2. No signals for needles¡¯ positions (the signal light doesn¡¯t work) Check part 5
3. Color-changing cam changes positions Bridge the gap between cam axils
4. Cross-stitching shafts change positions Check part 6 to see whether a fan-shaped gear changes positions, gets loose, or shows signs of abrasion£¬ then adjust the height of the cross-stitching shaft
5. The machinery is jammed Check the fitting part of part 5, 6 and 7
6. Needle-shaft box changes positions Check whether the needle tip is right to the hole
7. Driving slide changes positions Test the fitting part of the slide and the needle

Motor of main gear does not work when switching on

Solutions
1. Park in a wrong position Turn the main craft to 100degree
2. Embroidery frame shuts down offside Move the frame inversely
3. Machine is jammed Find out the jammed point and fix it
4. Motor of the main gear is switched off Turn it on
5. Related fuse blows Replace it

Needle breaks

Solutions
1. The needle doesn¡¯t take good aim at the hole on the needle board Turn the main shaft to 140 degree and adjust the position of the needle
2. Color-changing part changes positions Adjust the part
3. Needle goes blunt Change the needle
4. Lower shaft changes positions, and needle touches shuttle shell Check whether the shuttle looses, and make sure the shell is in place.
5. Thread scissors aren¡¯t in place Check scissoring part and put scissors back in place
6. Switch on the motor while pulling thread Change the habit

Needle shaft fails to embroider

1. Needle shafts¡¯ locating part is too low Loosen screw and turn main shaft to 0 degree, then adjust it
2. Driving slide doesn¡¯t spring back Check whether the machinery is jammed or the spring doesn¡¯t work

Needle shaft quivers

1. Needle shafts¡¯ locating part is too high Loosen screw and turn main shaft to 0 degree, then adjust it

Needle skips (needle lost)

1. Needle is poor in quality, bent or blunt Change the needle
2. Size of needle misfits that of thread thickness Change the needle or the thread
3. Tip of needle and tip of shuttle change positions Check and adjust the 196 degree parameter
4. Height of needle shaft changes Check and adjust the 172 degree parameter
5. Tension of upper thread misfits that of lower thread Adjust their tension
6. Embroidered material isn¡¯t firmly fixed Adjust it
7. Skipping electromagnet fails to spring back Adjust it

Shafts fall down

Solutions
1. Skipping electromagnet doesn¡¯t act Check whether thread and plug work well
2. Skipping electromagnet acts but changes positions Check whether it looses and then adjust it
3. Connecting bolt on needle shaft changes positions, and move right and left Check whether the gap between shield and connecting bolt is too large
4. Driving slide changes positions, abrades or is jammed Check the slide and the cover, to find the jammed spot and adjust its position or replace it

Thread breaks

1. Needle problem
A. Bad quality of the needle Replace the needle
B. Needle is not properly installed Reinstall it
C. Needle is not straight, or not in the position Reinstall and adjust
D. Something is on the needle point Remove it
E. Fixing screw of the needle is not in the right position Adjust it to 30 degree to the right
2. Thread problem
A. Bad quality of the thread Replace the thread
B. Thread doesn¡¯t match with the needle Adjust the tension of thread
C. Tension of upper thread and lower thread is too strong Replace
D. Too many branches of the upper thread Replace it
E. Thread is off the track Repair the track
3. Thread track is not smooth
A. Burr in the needle board hole Polish or replace
B. Burr in the needle track hole Polish or replace
C. Burr on the spinning wheel disk Replace it
4. Spinning shuttle
A. Scratch on the shuttle Polish or replace
B. Scratch on the shuttle shell Polish or replace
C. Shuttle and shell deform Replace them
D. Scratch on the locating shaft Polish or replace
E. Bad lubrication Add lube
5. Parameter is changed Adjust the parameter
6. Designs are too dense, or needle is not long enough Repair the board

Thread gathers

1. Tension of upper thread or that of lower thread is weak Adjust it
2. Thread is not hard enough Replace the thread
3. Tension of lower thread is unstable Clean the shuttle shell
4. Shuttle doesn¡¯t lubricate well Add lube to it
5. Tension of thread misfits embroidery material Adjust the tension
6. Shuttle shell goes out of shape Replace it

Thread is cut through

Thread problems

A. Moving knife and Thread-scissoring shaft get loose Adjust and fasten

2. Not scissoring thread  
A. Moving knife and unmoving knife cooperate poorly Adjust the angle of the unmoving knife

C. Knives go blunt Replace them

Upper drawing thread problem

A. Upper drawing thread part was locked Open the lock
B. Thread-drawing hook changes position, or the thread drawn is not to place Adjust the hook
C. Thread-picking part is loose Adjust and fasten
D. Thread-drawing electromagnet doesn¡¯t work Replace it
