2. characteristics :
- The machine combines quilting and embroidering in one set, which possesses the features of a quilting machine with all functions of an embroidery machine.
- X axis moves on fiber bar and straight guide rail driven by a servo motor ensure the accuracy of quilting pattern.
- Y axis moves on a rubber roller driven by a servo motor to ensure tension of the embroidery material and quilting of batch material.
- The machine is equipped with automatic cutting device and oil adding device to free workers from the trouble of manual thread trimming and oil addition.
- The roller is adjusted by a clutch to be capable of quilting material with maximum thickness of 40 mm, about 300 g/㎡, and minimum thickness of 0.3 mm.
- Any machine head could be selected for quilting and embroidery.
- It is equipped with automatic tensioning system.
- Maximum quilting width: 64”,110”, 128 “, and etc. are available.
- 360°graphic design: Universal quilting in up and down, left and right directions, also capable of step quilting.
3. Components of Machine MAYASTAR series computerized quilting machine consist of main machine, material receiving and feeding parts, and electrical control parts. Name and location of each part are shown in the following figure:

4. Driving structure and its adjustment for the quilting section of the computerized quilting machine
- The quilting section of the computerized quilting embroidery machine consists of x axis along with the fiber linear screw bar, y axis along with the roller each is controlled by one servo motor independently.
- The travel along the X axis determines the maximum embroidery width. Y axis rolls the material forward and backward. Along the X axis, there are straight ball fiber bars, straight ball guide rail, and straight ball fiber bar bearing, which is normally call saddle frame. Along the Y axis, there are cloth feeding system, i.e. material feeding system, roller roll-up system and material roll-up system.
- Cloth feeding procedure at the beginning of quilting: install roll cloth on the roller pin with its direction in reverse to that of moment motor. Start the motor to check the direction. Loose the spring in the roller seat and install bottom cloth evenly on the first roller in the rear, then rotate the roller to roll the cloth onto the second and third rollers till at last introduce the cloth through to the three front rollers.
- Attach the outside material and filling material separately on the bottom cloth with tape to feed onto the rollers. Fill the cotton in the between of the bottom and outside material and tighten spring screw.
- Method for tensioning the cloth: loose the right front clutch to make the roller roll up cloth backward, then close the clutch and the cloth is tensioned.
- The first two rollers forms the receiving system, its rolling up direction should be in reverse to the rotation of the moment motor.
- After startup, it is necessary to check the tension of the moment motor is proper or not and the springs on the front and rear rollers are tight or not.
- Before quilting, it is necessary to check if the two limit switches along the X axis are normal.
- Adjust the start point of quilting according to the pattern selected. Then the machine is ready for normal operation.
- Pressure of the roller system could be adjusted via pressure spring.
- Pressure on the quilting material between rollers could be freely adjusted by the pressure spring. When the pressure on thick material is too low, the material to be embroidered will slip to mess up the stitches; however, if the pressure is too high, the rollers will press on the cloth to make it inflexible, thus it is hard to obtain ideal embroidery results. Therefore, the pressure of the spring shall be properly adjusted according to different material thickness.
- Adjustment of the roller synchronous belt: first adjust the roller to make it in parallel with main shaft, and then tighten the screw in rear roller seat. Loose the screw in the rear roller seat and tension the synchronous belt screw against the front roller to make them in parallel, and then tighten the screw in rear roll seat.
- Adjustment of the motor: there is tension adjustment switch for each motor to control the tension. During quilting, tension of the material shall be control in a suitable range. Keep the tension of the receiving and feeding motors equal to avoid pattern distortion due to uneven tension. (Attention: The toque motor speed couldn’t be too fast, otherwise the Y direction servo motor will overload or the roller won’t work.)
- In addition, cloth must be in an even tidy state (to be rolled up on special cloth roll-up machine) before they are installed.
5. The cloth feeding method is as follows:

Chapter 2 important and precautions
- Environment conditions for the machine application shall refer to the installation environment section of the “installation, Operation and maintenance manual for MAYASTAR Embroidery machine. The machine and surrounding shall be cleaned, the sliding bearing or ball bearing, straight guide rail, and the ball fiber bar shall be periodically lubricated, cleaned and greased, otherwise the machine will not function properly, even have parts damaged.
- When the roller is rotated, the operators’ hands or any other items must keep away from the roller to prevent from the man-made safety accidents. Under machine working, the operator’s hands and other thing cannot touch the roller, women workers need wear hat to avoid the accident happen.
- Before machine starting, It is necessary to carefully check surroundings and see if there is anything on or in the nearby of the machine. Especially carefully check the fiber bar and guider rail, assure not to damage machine precision spare parts, and then start work.
- Lubrication of the machine: rightly lubricating machine is very important way to lengthen the machine using life.
